Privacy policy

This privacy policy tells how Menos Inc. ("Menos", "we", "us") collects, uses, keeps and shares personal information. Menos Inc. is a web development and design agency in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. To contact us, send an email to info@menos.ca.

1. What this policy covers

This policy applies to:

Our Shopify apps, for example Simple Affiliate, have their own privacy policies. This policy does not apply to them.

2. The information that we collect

On our website

  • The contact form. Your name, your email address, your phone number (if you give it) and your message.
  • Visits. Shopify hosts our website. Shopify uses cookies and collects data about your device and your visit, for example your IP address, your browser and the pages that you open. The Shopify privacy policy tells how Shopify uses this data.

With Menos sign-in

  • Google sign-in. When you sign in with Google, Google sends us your name, your email address and your profile picture. We ask Google only for the basic sign-in permissions (openid, email and profile). We do not get access to your Gmail, your Google Drive, your contacts or other Google data.
  • One-time code. When you sign in with a code, we get your email address.
  • Records of access. For each sign-in and each page request, our systems record your email address, your IP address, the time, the page and the sign-in method.

3. How we use the information

  • We use the contact form data to answer you.
  • We use the Menos sign-in data only to identify you, to decide if you can open a private Menos page, and to keep records of access for security.

4. Google user data

We use the data that we get from Google (your name, your email address and your profile picture) only for Menos sign-in, as section 3 tells. We do not use Google user data for advertising. We do not sell it. We do not use it to develop, improve or train artificial intelligence or machine learning models. Our staff read this data only for security, to answer a request from you, or when the law requires it.

Menos sign-in's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with these service providers, and only for the uses in this policy:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. operates Menos sign-in (Cloudflare Access) and keeps the records of sign-ins.
  • Google LLC identifies you when you sign in with Google.
  • Shopify Inc. hosts our website and its contact form.

These providers can keep data in Canada, in the United States or in other countries. We also share information when the law requires it.

6. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the uses in this policy, or as long as the law requires. A sign-in to a private Menos page stays valid for 24 hours. We keep the records of access only as long as we need them for security. Then we delete them.

7. How we protect information

All connections to our website and to Menos sign-in use HTTPS. Only the people of the allowed email domains can open a private Menos page. Only the Menos staff who operate the service can see the records of access.

8. Your rights and choices

  • To remove the access of Menos sign-in to your Google account, go to myaccount.google.com/connections.
  • To get a copy of your personal information, to correct it or to ask us to delete it, send an email to info@menos.ca. We answer within 30 days.
  • If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can make a complaint to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

9. Children

Our website and Menos sign-in are for businesses. They are not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information about children.

10. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we publish the new version on this page and change the effective date.
